Your receptionist or front desk person should be less accusatory when I mention that I get my dog’a medication from another source. That is not a great first impression of your clinic when I was trying to get an estimate for vaccines. Safe to say I will never bring my pet to this clinic. If animal clinics didn’t go the way of human healthcare and be greedy then maybe people wouldn’t find other sources for their dog’s medication at a third of the price that vets charge.

I am from the Animal Clinic of Antioch Annex and the post that Vicki Davis left is not the whole story. Ms. Davis called on a Friday at about 11:00 am and said that she needed to be seen that her cat was not walking and was in a lot of pain. So we told her we could see her at 12:00pm (which we were completely booked) Dr Kolich saw the cat and determined that the kitty was in shock. We told her that we would need to keep the kitty and get her stabilized before we could x-ray her to determine the next course of action. She agreed to the treatment. So we placed a IV and gave her intervenes antibiotics ( which could not been given by a tablet bought off of chewy) along with pain medication. We called Ms. Davis and advised her that we were not able to x- ray her kitty because she was in shock and it would stress her out enough that she could pass away. We contacted Ms. Davis everyday to keep her updated on the condition of her cat. Dr Kolich came in everyday over the Memorial Day weekend to treat the kitty and check on her calling Ms Davis everyday to keep her up dated on her condition. By Tuesday the cat was stable enough to be x- rayed. She could have signed a AMA ( taking the patient out of the clinic without medical advice). If she would of taken her to a emergency vet it would of been thousands of dollars.

Cat got into trouble and could barely walk. I called the office, it was a Friday before Memorial day, they said they could get her in two hours. Took her in but it wasn't until Tuesday that they took x-rays, so she had to stay there for 4 days waiting for the next business day to be released. I should have taken her to the emergency vet, probably would have been much less expensive. Bottom line: they should have told me they couldn't do anything until Tuesday. Looked up Baytril antibiotic, Chewy sells a 136mg tab. For $4.08, I was charged $294.00 for 400mg, WOW!

This was one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make, and the staff here handled it with so much care and compassion. We had to put our dog down due to age and decline, and they were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding the entire time. They gave us space, explained everything clearly, and never made us feel rushed. What really stood out was that they sent a card to our home afterward. That meant a lot to us and showed how much they truly care about both pets and their owners. Thank you for making such a difficult moment a little easier.

Friendly and not overly priced and did what Antioch dog &cat said they couldn't do with out drugging my 1 year old puppy..
